Infantry Class armor was a distinctive black body armor that was used by armies all over the galaxy as the standard issue armor for the military.
Defensive Measures[]
Infantry Class armor was capable of protecting soldiers from dangerous environments as well as from projectiles.The armor was able to significantly reduce damage taken from blaster-fire, but stronger blasts (ie. blast cannons) could bore into the armor. The armor was capable of protecting the wearer from heavy kinetic energy, and in cases where the soldier would usually die from blunt-force trauma, they'd be knocked out with a minor injury.
Rank was shown through colored shoulder pads, and especially high ranking officers' armor would be made of more durable material such as kronosteel,kronoplast, and on rare occasions kronian-polymer.
Other features of the armor included
- The gloves could be powered up during Hand-to-Hand combat to deliver stun shocks via an optional modification.
- The stomach covering contained a Manual Suit Seal and ecological controls.
- The armor had a strengthened alloy plate ridge.
- The lower right leg portion contained the suit's axillary power cells.
- The left upper side of the shin reinforcement had a knee defense plate for comfort from a kneeling shooting position.
- IFF hardware was in the back of the suit for recognizable proof and summon purposes for distinguishing each other
- A resonator to open secure doors
- An individual vitality shield for use during battle. This was particularly issued towards leaders of especially high esteem.
