Jimmy Strider was a human and ODST in the UNSC. As of now, he is currently 24 years old.

History

Childhood

Jimmy was born the year, 2623, on the planet Earth. Jimmy was known to have been extremely talented, but also hot-headed and short-tempered. After attending elementary and middle school, he skipped high school and went straight to military school. Because of his excellent grades, he was accepted, and was promoted to the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant within a year. He then volunteered and was accepted into the Orbital Drop Shock Troop squad.

Military

Jimmy spent most of his time in the military training new recruits. Occasionally, he would go to the frontiers to fight against small groups of Elite Rebels. After months of fighting them, Jimmy was promoted to Sergeant Major, and given his own squad of five ODSTs.

Mutation

During one training exercise inside a drop pod, after being deployed, his pod exploded after crashing onto the ground. Jimmy barely survived, and was in serious condition. He had lost an arm and a leg, and his bones on his left side were severely crushed.

Medics managed to heal his left side, but his right was a total loss. Because Jimmy still wanted to serve in the Marine Corps, at his request, they rebuilt his left side, using mechanics. He also allowed them to build a laser onto his left arm. Thus, Jimmy became the first human cyborg.

Description

Jimmy stands at around six feet tall. He has closely cropped hair, along with a small beard. He has blue eyes. Although he is part machine, because of technology, you cannot tell that part of his body is artificial.

Personality

Jimmy is very serious, and when given a mission, will not rest until it has been completed. He is known to have been hot-headed and short-tempered, but all in all, an excellent soldier.

Battle of Mastus Sadafer

Main article: Ascension Chapter 1: Uprising

When the Elites began to attack humanity once again, this time on the planet, Mastus Sadafer, Jimmy was one of the first humans to fight him. He lost around half of his squad and recruits, but the survivors sustained only minor injuries.

He and his squad managed to evacuate most of the civilians, and sent them to the HQ, where dropships were to arrive and pick them up while the ODSTs held off forces. Unfortunately, the dropships were delayed, and cause Jimmy to lose most of his squad as a result. The mission, however, was deemed as a success by officials.

He was also one of the individuals aboard the Tiger's Fury when Elten 'Sithinee declared his alliance.

His mutation, along with saving his life, gave him many unexpected abilities, as shown below:

• His right side is practically indestructible.
• He can fire lasers from his right arm.
• His right arm can lift up to five tons of weight.
