Killswitch is a mutant with the unusual ability to disable the powers of other mutants.
Powers/Abilities[]
Killswitch has two powers that she often uses in tandem. The first is the ability to sense other mutants. Her degree of sensitivity is not very precise; she could tell that there is a mutant in a crowd, but could not pick out an individual. However, against a single opponent, she is able to see if they are a mutant or not. This allows her to select targets for her other, more dangerous power.
This power allows her to temporarily disable the powers in other mutants, in effect switching them off and reverting her targets to “normal” human levels. The effects are only temporary; however the more time she spends suppressing the powers of a mutant will increase the duration. The only known limitations to her powers are that they do not work on those who gained their powers through accidents, experiments, mystical abilities and the like.
Aside from that power, Killswitch has no direct way to attack others; as a result, she often works in a team in battle. She frequently partners with Nerfbat to disable foes; she “switches off” any mutant enemies, while he weakens any others.
Appearance[]
Killswitch is an attractive woman in her mid 20s with an athletic build. She keeps her hair short and shaggy, and dyes it various shades of bright purple. Her costume consists of a shockingly bright, two-tone purple bodysuit with a mask, as well as a bright red “off switch” symbol on the chest.
