Fourteen year old Gerard "Gerry" Winter's life would never be the same when he was granted bizarre powers by a new kind of chemical compound during an interview for his school's radio show, when agents of an international crime syndicate attacked. To prevent them from getting the compound, Gerry deliberately drank it, thus ruining their plans. After the agent's arrest, Gerry discovered that compund had given him incredible powers. After realzing how much of a thrill it was foiling the agents' evil plans, Gerry put together an oddball costume, and called himself the Oddity, nemesis of the criminal underworld.
