Seig Dober is a mercenary supervillain speedster. Normally a German citizen, he spends a lot of his time working in the USA for other supervillains.
A career criminal (and fencer in his spare time), Hans Gepard had spent most of his life stealing for a living. A figure in the German underworld, he had become something of a “go-to” guy for anyone who wanted something stolen, regardless of where from. So when he was approached by a terrorist group to steal chemicals, his only concern was how much they were going to pay him.
Unfortunately for him, things did not go to plan. While he was able to secure the chemicals they wanted form a Hamburg warehouse, the terrorist pickup went badly. A clumsy idiot with a forklift spilled one of the barrels, dousing Hans in a potentially toxic load. As he tried to get away from the toxic tide, one of the other terrorists, panicking, shot out a fusebox, sending electric wires falling into the chemical sludge and electrocuting everyone caught in it.
Except that Hans was somehow alive. The combination of chemicals and electricity had somehow supercharged his cells, giving him tremendous speed and agility. Seeing a way to turn this to his advantage, he initially returned to his career of crime, now able to pull off bigger and more spectacular heists then even before. Using a pair of customised blades, he took the name “Seig Dober”, declaring himself to be a true supervillain.
However, it wasn’t too long before he set his sights on bigger targets; travelling to the USA, he moved to Millennium city, the superhero capitol of the world. From there, he stepped up his activities; not just would his thefts be bigger, bolder and more lucrative, but he would also work for other supervillains who needed extra muscle for their plans. This bought him into conflict with American superheroes, something that he secretly relished; after all, what better way to show just how good he was then to defeat the Americans at their own game?
The accident gave Seig Dober a range of powers; the most important of which is his speed. His maximum running speed is unknown, but he has been clocked in excess of 350 km/h. Furthermore, he seems to have an ability to traverse cliffs and other vertical surfaces by simply running across them. It is unclear how he does this, but he needs to be moving ion order to accomplish it. In addition to his speed, he has very keen eyesight and hearing.
Seig Dober carries a pair of specially designed blades with him to serve as his main form of attack. He prefers to use them in high-speed slashing attacks, slicing an opponent as he sprints past them and then escaping before they can retaliate. However, he is known to be a skilled swordsman, and certainly can hold his own in a stand-up fight – he just prefers not to get into one.
Seig Dober is somewhat arrogant to the point of being obnoxious about it. He sees himself as being better then American superheroes and villains simply for being from Europe. In fact, this attitude extends to most anything; he sees anything American as being inferior for simply not being from Europe, however, it is in the super-powered community that his arrogance is the most pronounced.
This does not mean that he underestimates or dismisses his foes, however. He maintains a degree of professionalism in battle, trying to size up his enemy and exploit their weaknesses to his fullest advantage. What he can’t fight, he will gladly out-run, using his speed to its fullest advantage. He is rather aggressive and forward, but not so much so to the point of letting it over-ride his common sense.
Hans is in his late twenties with sharp, angular features, narrow blue eyes and short black hair. As Seig Dober, he wears a sleek, skin-tight costume which is largely black with a yellow trim and red gloves and boots, while his eyes are hidden behind tinted yellow goggles.
