History[]

As a lad, Connor Lancely was a relatively lively Cajun, and spent most of his time dreaming of being a trader like his father. He played in the swamps of Louisiana and spent much of his free time wrestling crocodiles three to four times his size. He was renowned as a chef at the tender age of ten, and his croc-soup was such a hit that he was gifted his own restaurant by a wealthy French land-owner.

His father was rarely present in his life, and his mother died during childbirth, yet by himself, and without an education, he learned to read, and was prone to sit in his shoddy sea-side home and read endless logs written by his father.

One day, a British Captain knocked on his door, telling the lad of his father's less than legal operations at sea, and of his arrest and execution on multiple charges of Piracy. When he hear the news, the young man of sixteen ran out into the woods, where he ran upon the pleasurable company of a very awkward sort of witch, whom took him in as an apprentice. When she died, he inherited her shack and belongings and went back to his original home. It seemed his house was in ruins, but his restaurant had made a killing as a pub, and was given a large sum of money. He spent the entirety of his new-found wealth and bought a ship, assembled a crew, and went off in the search for plunder.
