|Training / Abilities|
Wolfgang is a Werewolf, able to transform from human form to a wolf-like humanoid. He is a member of the supernatural villain team known as the Underworld.
Wolfgang’s origins are largely unclear; he first appeared in Germany in the late 90s, terrorizing several small towns in remote, sparsely populated regions of the country. The few direct encounters with him by professional monster hunters made it clear that he was indeed a Werewolf, one of a true supernatural origin, as opposed to being a mutant or genetically altered creature.
Abruptly, he vanished from Germany, only to resurface a few years later in Millennium City; furthermore, now rather then acting alone, he was instead working as hired muscle for other supervillains. This shift in operations has never been explained, and Wolfgang certainly isn’t talking. He became established as a stalker, one who would be relentless in the pursuit of his foes.
However, a couple of years ago, he abruptly severed all his mercenary ties, instead deciding to join the supernatural group known as The Underworld as a full member and dedicating himself to them alone. It is not clear why he did this, but it is suspected that She Devil has some hold over him. Unfortunately, this has proven to be detrimental to his supervillain career in several aspects; not only has he severed all external ties, but he has spent much of his time with the Underworld acting as a fall guy and general punching bag.
Wolfgang possesses innate shape-shifting abilities allowing him to transform himself into a ferocious, man-beast hybrid. These abilities are entirely natural to him, presumably the result of an ancestral curse, and as such they cannot be “switched off” by most means. While in his wolf-man form, he possesses massively enhanced strength and stamina, as well as enhanced reflexes. As a result, he hits hard and can take punishment in return while being fast and agile.
In his wolfman form, he is armed with supernaturally sharp claws and fangs. These weapons are further augmented by his enhanced senses, giving him a supernatural range of perception with his hearing and smell, allowing him to track all but the most elusive of foes. In addition to being very resilient, he is able to regenerate his wounds at an enhanced rate; however, he is rather vulnerable to silver.
Even in his human form, Wolfgang is very animalistic and bestial. He doesn’t talk much, instead looming in the background, glaring intently. Despite this, he is clearly loyal to the rest of the Underworld, unquestioningly following their orders, whatever they may be. Certainly he seems to have few issues with putting himself at considerable risk for their benefit, though his resilience may be a part of this.
In Werewolf form, he is even more feral and animal-like, barely able to talk. He is a skilled hunter and tracker, and certainly seems to be rather bloodthirsty and eager to fight. However, he will rarely attack a target directly, preferring to ambush them whenever possible.
In his human form, Wolfgang is a tall, heavily built man with sharp, angular features. He has narrow blue eyes and scruffy red hair, including a thick beard. In wolfman form, he has a wolf-like head and face, long tail and large claws, while his body is covered in thick reddish-brown hair. In both forms he wears the same outfit, consisting solely of a pair of bright yellow shorts.
