Yang Panda is a superhero
Origin[]
As a young man, Shaun had always protected the natural world from dark forces. He was soon summoned by destiny to the lost city of Dongwu, a sacred land in the Himalayas protected by Pai Zhuq, a mystical fighting style focused on the animal spirits within one's self. He saw that it was his destiny to use Pai Zhuq to protect the land from the forces of darkness. He trained along side his brother at arms, Cougar, both were great warriors but were the greatest together. Training took many years until Shaun was finally ready to fulfil his destiny as the Pai Zhuq guardian. To prove his worthy, he and Cougar were sent to the highest mountain to seek the man beast known locally as the Yeti. They had reached the ancient temple of the yeti and battled it together till the end. Cougar was struck down, but Shaun focused his power and released the animal spirits within him to strike back at the yeti. The beast fell to the ground, Shaun was going to slay it, but saw that it wasn't a monster, but a wise and gentle creature. He allowed the yeti to live another day and promised to keep its existence secret to the outside world. He returned with an injured Cougar in his arms back to Dongwu and had earned the right as Pai Zhuq guardian. Cougar felt furious, feeling he was meant to be guardian but he would have slated the beast, not the way of Pai Zhuq. The two brothers at arms went their separate ways to their fate. But where as Cougar sought out his vengeance in exile as Crouching Cougar, Shaun had become a world renown warrior, the Hong Kong Hero: Yang Panda. He was soon approached by the Protectors for him to enter their Next Generation army, a group of young super powered children to help n the protectors aid against evil.
